2010 RA HIGHVELD FEATURE SEASON RACING AWARDS

Good morning and I am aware I am late but the Scott's were home at 3.30.

What a superb evening from the opening in the new metro movie house to the last drink in the Monsoon Lagoon? If the spelling is correct.

Well done to all the winners, have a few photos and will post soon.

A .Makhubo, Waywest Goddess. Kavanagh, Here To Win, Pierre Jourdan, Mother Russia, Smart Banker, Noble Heir, Pierre Jourdan, Irish Flame, Phunyuka, Summerhill Stud, JP Van Der Merwe, A Marcus, M de Kock, Mrs I and Mr M Jooste.

The presentation was done in the new metro and the pics were taken from the iphone (hope they are OK?)

The food was superb, the music was first class (Christine Mansour) she stole the show.

Well done to the RA staff for putting it all together.

A special award for Vee Moodley as the best dancer, can be seen in the new Michael Jackson movie.

Breeders of the year should have been Mr and Mrs Alexander? as the family and MDK both had Venter trailers for all the trophies.

Have to make the breakfast..................happy Mothers Day.

I must say the entire concept of sitting in the movies watching Molly and Clyde going through the nominations and watching the replays on the big screen was brilliant, including the movie credits at the end with the "take 25" showing the mistakes during filming was rather funny.

OK NEVER SAID I WAS A PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The whole concept of the movie presentation was amazing! I think only the very hardened of us did not get a lump in their throat when they showed Team De Kock celebrating Lizards Desires run - knowing the eventual outcome, and the American documentary about Barn Life, and of course the footage of Pierre Jourdan. Clyde and Dave Mollett were brilliant as the presenters, and their light hearted banter was hysterical! Well done to Telly Track and all the people that were involved. It was a fresh idea, and it shows a little bit of forward movement from Phumelela {ducks behind the bushes waiting to be shot down}
