Sean Cormack had his first winner in Singapore in only his ninth ride on 28 March aboard the Cliff Brown-trained Zinly. Zinly dead-heated with Samurai Kid in a race over 1400m. Cormack wasted no time in following up, riding Stephen Gray-trained Demicus to victory over 1800m at the same meeting and the following week, riding yet another winner, Zestfulgo over 1200m.
Cormack is contracted to Basil Marcus, who is yet to have a runner. He has been granted a six-month freelance licence by the Singapore Turf Club that allows him to ride for other trainers.
He said, "I’m loving it here so far in Singapore. It’s a lovely place and the living conditions are great."
