ARLINGTON Friday 12th March...
15 years 3 months ago
Hi Clan...
First leg of Sophomore challenge...PE Triple Crown...
Just to be transparent...Rajinzky runs in race 2. Good draw, further but no good thing. She has bleeding problems so just hoping for improved run, could be her last or 2nd last run and rather donate to good home.
DJ Detzky is in top nick, but there are reservations...60kg tough ask, Nocturnal Affair gets 4kg but tries right hand turn, rested and gelded and Arlington is tough course for visitors. All Ablaze runs well in blinkers but we closed the gap in weight with 2kg's. To DJ's credit he seems to like Arlington. I believe a good race between DJ, All Ablaze and Nocturnal Affair and should make for fascinating finish. Roughies could be Lector as he has ability and i feel he likes the 1400m trip, Annual Report has met Bold Silvano and seems to be improving.
I just hope for some luck and believe it's gonna be an exciting race and hopefully a PE horsie takes home the bacon...
Other fancies: race 1: Tatankwa
race 2: Polar Vixen
race 5: Adamy
race 7: Debonair Man
Good Luck all...

Goodluck RAD..
preview from the RA`s Ryan Roberts
IBHAYI STAKES LISTED (R125 000 ARLINGTON FRIDAY 12 MARCH)
SELECTIONS
NO 3 NOCTURNAL AFFAIR
NO 2 ALL ABLAZE
NO 1 D J DETZKY
NO 5 ANNUAL REPORT
Visiting trainer Greg Ennion does not raid often but when he does he
shows success and his three year old NO 3 NOCTURNAL AFFAIR is highly rated by the stable.
His earlier form was very useful and strictly on merit ratings
he should win this comfortably. Although he does have a tricky draw
and he has not run around the Arlington bend if he is at his best he is
going to be hard to beat. NO 2 ALL ABLAZE has put his
disappointing run last September well and truly behind him and
improved with the addition of blinkers when winning over this distance
in his latest. Drawn in pole position 1 on Friday he should contest
the finish here. NO 1 D J DETZKY was unlucky in his latest when
only having to be eased and checked and is clearly better than that
run and had most of this line up well held when winning his
penultimate at this track. He does however have to give weight to all
his rivals but he does deserve the utmost respect. NO 5 ANNUAL REPORT
won comfortably in his latest against weaker opposition than this and
is better than his run behind D J DETZKY would suggest as he bled in
that race. Wayne Agrella is having the season of his life and he teams
up with trainer Des Mclachlan aboard ANNUAL REPORT. NO 4 LECTOR is a
strong front runner and could get over from his wide draw to set the
pace and is quite capable of running into the placings here. NO 6
DANCING KIWI has done well enough recently to be considered here but
is out a bit at the weights so maybe a place is the best that can be
hoped from him. NO 8 BIG DADDY ran his best race to date when just
behind ALL ABLAZE last time and if reproducing that run he may be the
upset result but jockey Derreck David will have overcome the widest
draw, It is unlikely anything else in the line up is good enough to
win this. - Ryan Roberts

A very windy and misty PE today !!! Our runners well and as follows :-
Race 4 Little Minx
Hoping for a place. Working well and her preffered distance.
Race 5 Adamy
Big runner. Last race ridden by Appie who was forbidden to use the whip on the day (we werent told this until after) However Anthony tried his best and 400m to finish made up 18 lengths in 21seconds. Fransie back on board. We will be having a bet at time of race.
Race 6 Lector
Work been excellant. If he can get over from draw a very big runner.
Eye of the World
Working well but probably a bit short. Have him in as we are eyeing the Triple Crown.
Race 7 Debonair Man
Working very well and 3rd run after rest so expecting a big run.
Good racing to all....

Academy master made decision without any discussion with stipes, trainers or owners. . . First we heard was when we backed another horse that didnt run to expectations and when asked Appie why he didnt pull his stick he said " Academy master told me I wasnt allowed to take my hands off the reins " Nothing done about it up to now. Punters just do money in cold blood....
