Afrikaans for the 2010 tourists

Doing my bit for 2010 yawn soccer Vase.

Two afrikaans words you need to survive.

SLAGHUIS and SLAGGATE

Pronounced

SLAG HAZE
and
SLAG GATE

Now me i thought these were mining terminologies but no in SA we use them for other items.


SLAGHUIS - This is a butchery. Place to aquire meat for dinner.

SLAGGATE -DUH nothing to do with a butchery or mine. This is a massive crater on regional and national roads cuased by weather and poor maitnenance.
