Unless the NHRA is prepared to have a representative put this piece of equipment on the horse each and everytime it runs, it becomes something that can be used to manipuate the outcome of a race. And if a horse runs with it once, it must run with it always. It has a significant influence on reducing the dorsal displacemnet of the soft palate, and therefore the horse's breathing, especially at the end of the race. This is the difference between winning a losing... and therefore the reason that it has not been approved for racing in many countries... which is sad, because it is amazing!!!
