Sure he is still here, Joburg/Pretoria but goes to Zim to call the races.

Also enjoyed but not some of the bookies at Bosman St, he used to drive the late Hendrick Prinsloo crazy

Was def. a fun commentator and the type of race caller who could bring people to the track. I'm sure he wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I for one would like him back.

No he is NOt, Smiley played at a high level. When i was a pretoria city (not for long) he was already an accomplished pro. I played against him in a national 5 a side tournament and he was very very good.
