Hotline must be quite excited seeing Jay Pegs name up their with Horse Chestnut, Jet Master and Captain Al
Big things could be on the cards for Pegs progeny in the next 5 - 10 years

Yip Al....still holds the record for the race....he has covered over 90 mares this season with a high strike rate for his first season.....they say he has a 5% chance at making a successful stallion so the next 3 years are crucial...

Morning Hotline and all the best.
Not such an expert on the breeding side, when you say he has a 5% chance is that the standard stat. or is it related to the quality of mares he has covered.
Also I am sure the time the babies are running 2/3 years its important to have a good first crop to get the name out there?
How much is the cover for a mare?
sorry for all the questions but we will be following Jay Pegs career with special interest

90 mares is a very large number in South African terms. That should give him every chance of starting out with a bang. All the best to the Jay Peg connections.
