Watched a piece in the UK about the state of the breeding industry and although they appear optomistic and are hoping to come out of the downswing in the next few years,everything looks pretty gloomy..
43% of the purchases were made by four buyers.
One of the top Breeders basically admits but for the passion of the Irish Mob and the Sheiks that racing would be fooked?
They done a study of which the outcome was that Racing was no longer socialy accepted by the public(what ever that means).
They are advising that breaders get rid of all stock and only breed from top Quality mares to try and drive the prices up again..
They also mentioned that for some reason Italy are being suspended from the EBF,so not good news for the Itals..
