It was with a deep sadness that I recieved the news this afternoon from Charl that due to a freak accident this wonderful stallion had to be put down due to a terrible injury.
The people involved at The Alchemy are the most wonderful bunch of guys you will ever want to meet. George, Philip, Ricky and Lofty have such a passion for breeding the best, one just cannot help but try to become part of it.

I recently spent a week in Robertson with them and that week changed the way I look at horseracing forever. I learned more in one week than I could have hoped for in a lifetime. I think of my time I spent there everyday yearning to go back.

To Lofty, a horseman second to none..I am so sorry my mate he was magnificant and you loved him..I cry for you buddy.

Sad year for breeders in general!

I can only echo what has been posted by oscar, terrible news and my heart also goes out to the guys at The Alchemy, who has had a wonderful year up to now.

Second major blow for these guys. Up and at em also died shortly after starting stud duties. Tough tough game
