Comingled pools

In race 4 durbanville today we saw a perfect example of comingled pools at work.

The horse Indigo Arc was paying as much as R13.30 a win when all of a sudden about 5 minutes bfore the off the win pool rose by almost R20,000 and Indigo arc paid R1.70 a win!!!!!
he eventually went off at around R3.30 a win (TOTE FAVOURITE!!!!)

This is not manipulating, it is simply the Aussie/American whomever people looking at form and seeing a horse that has consistent form and thinking it is value in an open race!!!!

Was he ever a 22/10 shot in this race? Should he ever have been tote favourite??

Decide for yourself!

On the other side, this could give the A/P favourite more value

I guess there can be a lot of value to be had now.....

You just have to ignore the tote fluctuations where in the past they were a great indication of a trainer fancying their horse.

Just find the best handicapped horse and have a go......Alternatively there could be some fantastic value now with the bookmakers!!

Comingled pools at the worst when they are connected to blind totes such as France, no clue for the punters.
Have posted much on the subject, when Dettori won on a 6/1 on France, it paid R2.10 on our tote and WAS not the tote fav

Thank God for bookmakers with online facilities. Tote is for muggles. Going to races is even worse, see 'Turffontein facilities' thread. Would be funny if it weren't so sad.

Jack,

You are right but now you have the opportunity to play on both the tote and bookmakers which would mean you are goin to get value one way or the other.

Value today a plenty. Life of Pi was favorite with booking at about 5/1...Paid R2.9 a place!!!!

It is in your favour to keep your options open now I think.

Race 8 at Turffontein, I kept a very close eye on the tote board. 10 seconds after the race started the dividends on the first and second favourites for a win and place changed. Fair enough for comingling.

But then the dividends changed again on the eventual winner AFTER THE HORSES HAD CROSSED THE LINE, more than a minute after the off. Strangely the place dividend increased.

What is going on ?

Ausralian and American pools being added and info being disseminated from the famous "Isle of White" hub!!!

Sounds like something they should call a sub shop franchise!!!

As long as the bets were taken before the of I guess thats the most important part.

tooth fairy..easter bunny..xmas father..
if you cannot beat them, cheat them......
its only phumelela that wants the public to believe that all is well and secure.
they cannot admit that they are being handled..
print the DATABASE LOG TAPES....why not????

same as the lotto..
refuse to do on TV audit of the remaining 49 balls left in the bowl after the draw..
they insist that there are 42 balls left..
so why not do a on TV audit and show the public that there are 49 balls left..sorry I ment 42 balls...

same as the banks..they are also being handled..but deny it...do you want a run on the banks again like saambou...
