PGE broker a deal to show Uk racing in Hk

SATURDAY'S Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket will be shown live and open to local betting by punters in Hong Kong for the first time, in a deal brokered by Phumelela Gold Enterprises, the South African broadcasting partner of Racing UK.

The simulcast, which has been fitted into a government dispensation that allows ten overseas races on local racedays and 15 meetings on other days to be broadcast annually, has come about after an approach by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.



PGE chief executive Rian du Plessis said: “We hope the interests of UK horseracing, as well as those in Hong Kong, will be best served by this landmark development.

What gets me is,why don`t they Broker a deal to show South African racing on RUK?

They did have it for a short while

This is a perfect example of what I have been saying.....
PGE and Phumelela should worry about getting their own house in order before making "landmark deals" overseas......
