Thanks scotia that is what I an trying to get accross to don. The owner must be the first to know at the end its his investment not the public. And don this does not put racing in reverse. By you not knowing about your investment first. Were is the judgement in that.

Many of the top jockeys have R30 sms tipping facilities..
are you guys saying that they are stabbing you in the back...
but that's a paradox..
firstly you admire them and fight to get them to ride your horses..
they do the work riding...under strain (that's what you are led to believe)
you put them on a pedastal...
when they win..you give them presents..M3 BMW's..
or even pay them retainers of R50k per month....
but
they tip the horse on their R30 sms service as the best mount for the day.
they have to tip winners, else the 7149 avarage sms at R30 will stop.
Yep...you did the sum correctly... 7149 x R30 each race day..
works something like this
7149 sms
@R30
X 2 times per week avarage
X 50 weeks avarage
gives 7149x30x2x50=R21,447,000 per annum.....
Wow..I get the distict feeling that most of the owners dont know how the industry works..
now you know why most top jockeys could not be worried....

Andre, I do not care which jockey rides the horse on the day. I'd rather an appy ride a horse than a top jock as at least these guys ride to win as radezsky would say. We will talk for hours about the crookedness of the game, but you can only get this sorted out if you do something bout it. Like andre said if you want to overthrow phumelela all owners should stop racing the horses. If you want to stop crookedness everyone has to bring their part otherwise we are just going to talk about this next year again and we still haven't gone anywhere.

best trick to get a price..
fav is evens..
find a 100/1 or 66/1
1.R250...claim the horse R25K..fav stays evens...100/1..to..50/1..Bookie1
2.R500...claim the horse R25k..fav stays evens...50/1..to..40/1...Bookie2
3.R625...claim the horse R25K..fav goes 12/10....40/1..to..33/1...Bookie3
4.R750...claim the horse R25K..fav goes 14/10....33/1..to..20/1...Bookie4
total spend = R2125
trainer..owner..jockey...what going on....?????
shop around and get the fav at 15/10...put the bundle..
R75,000/R50,000
else I would have gotten R50,000/R50,000
Backed a 100/1 at turfontein a few years back..
Habib and E Anderson..
claimed it via the marble arch bookmakers..raymond sham..
backed it with Lionel, and the other 3 that were standing outside..
funny thing..the 100/1 won the race...fav ran 2nd..
still made a profit..

no bubby, your attitude is wrong and you and likeminded participants need to change your outlook - the owner has no first right...racing's first concern is the punter....refer to a previous blog about this topic and Japanese topic as well - see integrity. The owner is racing for the stake, the stake is made up out of punter's money...etc if the owner is looking to make money back on his investment via dubious avenues, he's in it for the wrong reason...doing trade that way is the same as a crooked politician...as magiclips is saying, no point in beleaguering the points made already.

So don, if you have an investment you are not entitled a return? So if you own a business you are not entitled a profit, if you work you are not entitled a salary, if you own shares you are not entitled a dividend, if you own a property you are not entitled a rental.

I have an interest in couple of horses with Dylan Cunha and what I really like about Dylan, even though he may be over confident at times, is that he always gives us plenty of confidence and is normally spot on the mark when he does. I would rather be given more confidence from a trainer and the horse gets beaten by a better horse on the day, than given no conidence and the horse walks the race and ofter the race the trainer says he thought the horse could have won.
I am a relatively small punter anyway so would rather win the stake cheque than get a better price if someone got on before me anyway.

you are missing the point. Your entitlement is the stake winnings.

Correct and first option to also take a bet on my investment. Let's take another simple example. You own a shop, but you employ a manager to run it for you. Without consulting with you about wanting to have a sale and sell stuff at reduced prices he goes and does it himself, yet he was not employed to make decisions like that. So what you do? You get rid of him as he did not follow the rules.

Don you obviously do not live on planet earth. Coz if you had no passion to see your investment and life grow than you lost the plot. So don imagine you wait for your pay check at the end of the month after a long month of work and then your boss says to you o sorry I can't pay you for the work you performed I decided to give it to my son instead.
