J J lands at Newbury on Saturday

15 years 9 months ago

The Jet plane is set to make his third appearance in as many weeks, after being entered for the Grp3 DUBAI DUTY FREE WORLD TROPHY over 1000m at Newbury this weekend.

For Richard Hannon to have entered him up again he must be showing Hannon he is ready for a quick return.

His trainer recently ran a horse in two consecutive days Ordnance Row to run third in a grp2 to Delegator on the saturday ,then on the sunday win a grp3.

Don`t know if this is another look to see if J J warrants his end of year targets or if he is in that good form at home they need to let him run??

Barry Irwin will be happy to learn that Newbury is a flat course with no undulations

Pointless having this conversation because anything with a mound is an undulation. Shea is comparing the SA tracks which are all flat flat flat to a course which may have an ever so slight incline.

In a word yes BUT there are no undulations of note at York/ I am sure that you have viewed racing from Brighton, Epsom, Goodwood, Chepstow Now that is what we call undulations where the horses run into a big dip not like York where there maybe an incline of a couple of feet (mole hole)

I said it on the other site and i said it here. They are fucking around with this horse BIG time. He needs to run in Paris in the Prix Abbaye.Sadly his campaign the ways its going will probably mean he wont contest that race and if he does he (jj) will be so gatvol he will not shine as he should.

Just my opinion but he should never have been running at Goodwood and most certainly not over further. I have to belive that MDK would have altered his training regime to include a bit more stamina this cannot augur well for an OUT AND OUT sprinter.

So i figure its going to take a while for him to get back to normal.....

I know that a nomination doesn't mean he will race, but I'm not sure who thinks its a good idea for a horse who has been on the go for the last 4 months, should now be subject to another run?

Whoever the people out there are who think JJ should run again, I'm not sure they are thinking clearly.......

Maybe the trainer wants to know what he has, maybe the owners are now unsure of his ability on the big stage, maybe they want some more pounds to cover the training costs.....who loses in all of this mess????

JJ The Jet Plane!!!!!!!!

It would appear the plan IS to run the horse on Saturday.

AB - since JJ is now stabled with local UK based trainer, they needed to get colours with the UK "jockey club" .... it was easier to form a syndicate as only 2 of the 4 owners have to have individual colours... hence the formation of the JJ The Jet Plane Syndicate.

I think he will fair well over a 5f when you take into consideration the "undulating tracks" and Newbury is considered to be 1 of the UK "flat tracks"

Hannon must have a plan up his sleeve -

I wish JJ had raced the Group 1 in York Chicken & Chips.... unfortunately he didnt....
