Scotia waiting for the "ALL CLEAR"

Good morning all and hope you are well, wanted to get the "all clear" before posting, but sorry to say the doctor takes longer than the stipes.

I am sure you are aware of the feeling when you are waiting the outcome of an objection and it takes 1/2 an hour at the big "T" and it feels like for ever, well when you are waiting for a week on a nod for the big "C", its a lot worse.

It was last Friday when I was admitted after a routine visit to the doc, then specialist then hospital.

Friday the 4th, told to arrived at the hospital at 8.00 in the morning, they gave me pre: admittance forms to complete to save "wasting time".

The traffic was hectic, but arrived on the dot after a couple of speed traps.

They asked me to sit in reception and they would call me.

At 10.00, I did ask, do you remember me? The lady was very pleasant and said we have not forgotten you please be a patient and have patience, considering I had no food or drink since 19.00 the previous night and was sitting in front of the coffee shop!

At 12.00 was given a call after "4 hours", go up stairs, into bed, stripped off and they pushed the bed in upside down and someone shaved my beard off by mistake, before I knew, I was in Lala land counting horses jumping over fences and trying to pass broken glass before they would release me.

Do not recommend, however the good news was able to take a few shots with the tablets and the better news the tablets are finished.

I was told to phone the doctor for results and each day I get a very efficient receptionist "YOU CAN ONLY SPEAK TO DOCTOR BETWEEN 13.00 AND 13.15" when you do phone at exactly 13.00, you get told he will phone you later when he is finished.

Well the stress has been a bit much for me and after one week, still await the call, so I am copying this email/post to the Doctors rooms with the request he posts the results to my p.o. box as the account was sent with the minimum of fuss, so rather efficient in the "open wallet surgery", dept. but rather weak on customer care, much the same as most SA service providers.

However, life goes on (hopefully) and we have some serious racing this weekend, plus great news is that JJ is giving it another bash on Saturday and a time to recover our losses?

We have the Achievers day function on Sat and the students are raring to go, the bus leaves at 10.30 and returns home at 18.00 we are just looking for a responsible adult join us on.

Please post a few early tips on the site as I plan a handout for the trip, again well done to the marketing team at the RA in a move where we hope to get a few youngsters involved with racing, nothing wrong with seeing a few yuppies at the track with laptops and hopefully owning horses.

Glad to hear you are OK for another tour of duty Scotia. Distell share price has risen in last 10 minutes, good news travels fast. The open wallet surgery I can empathise with as I have also had a very recent case.

No news is good news Dave,hope you get your results soon!!

Also hope you get the all clear, been through it with my other 1/2 - waiting for those results is awful. He call the all clear
