That's merely your opinion, Sly. I agree, I can't have the horse, but there's nothing to say he cannot take his chances.

Hi all, I appreciate all the hype around RAJINZKY as i am the owner. I agree with all comments posted here both positive and negative. Actually i have seen stranger things happen in racing than my filly maybe winning at odds of 100 to 1.
Firstly my filly was entered purely as a stepping for bigger things than this grade 1. As she is a ready-to-run graduate she automatically qualifies for the Emperor's Ready To Run Cup in November worth R1.5m in stakes and wow it's only a non black type race and yes, for ready - to - run graduates only. It was my decision to run her here merely to see what she is capable of as we thought ourselves unlucky in her last effort over the Greyville night 1400m race. The computaform stipes comments = coughing after the race. She was outsprinted and the track was running fast.
In her debut run she had the fastest 400m to finish over 1200m at Clairwood beaten by 4 odd lengths by none other than one of the fancied runners here namely Laverna. She now tries the longer straight again, 400m further and runs on late with a capable rider and improving. Don't get me wrong, she's no good thing but i'm willing to take on the "big guns " to see how good she really is.
But if you're scared to be optimistic and lose the odd R50 on 100 to 1 then back my filly on Monday at Arlington Race 1 - DETZKY'S DARLING. YOU'LL get the R50 back [ha ha]. She should go close.
Believe me i've got nothing to lose. the ultimate optimist, and racing is a business. If she runs within 8 lenths of the winner her mission accomplished, then we get her ready for November.
As stated before, funnier and stranger things has happened in racing before...
Thanx for all the interest...

Hi Hibernia, Scotia and Chicken 'n Chips.
Actually stumbled onto this forum by accident. Like it a lot. Nice meeting you all and will log on regualarly letting you know about my runners.
Believe me i just feel it right to be open. Everyone wants to make the odd extra bob in these trying times.
Believe we have good chance on monday, but first timers are always an unknown quantity. Arlington is a hard track but the filly is well.
I have another runner on Wednesday at Scottsville - KRUGER GOLD. Very immature but we hope he will prefer the extra and hope he will improve. No good thing, hoping for improvement.
Hold thumbs for today and thanx for the support.

HI
Well the filly ran a decent race, very green and the jock reported her green on the left hand turn. At least we finished 9 lengths behind the 2nd horse bar the fact that Laverna won very well by 4 lengths and is still improving.
RAJINZKY ran on the last bit and at least we beat 2 winners home as a consolation.
Watch her next maiden run!
As for transparency = MONDAY AT ARLINGTON RACE 1 - DETZKY'S DARLING. The trainer reports the track might be too fast for her but she will run at them at the business end and as CC states we will have to beat the Greeff runner North Shore. Still i'm always wary of first timers!
But i think she is worth a go...

mr radetzky your horse tried her heart out today but still had the field bar 2 in front of her..i hope for her sake you have not broken her heart by placing her in the wrong race..winning races is all about placing horses in the correct races where they can be competitive not overphasing them and breaking their spirit ..

Thanks for kind words an you're correct. Actually she was placed correctly as stated previously. Our aim is November as i can apparenty pick up prize money for running last. Secondly at least the HANDICAPPER can't get hold of her now and can she be placed correctly with a low merit rating.
Thirdly racing is a business and costing. If i feel a horse has ability give it a crack and if not up to scratch she joins my string in PE and enjoy her racing because apparently there you can win 23 races without being punished too much by the handicapper - Hear The Drums have proven that - taking nothing away from him - he's brilliant for his owner and a top PE sprinter.
I enjoy your feedback and makes sense but i believe in taking the gamble - us small owners don't have the funds to be too patient in placing them. Still i take your comments to heart...she was sound after the race, know she can stay and will break the maiden after all the big yards have left Natal...
