a question for vee moodley regarding hidden nest
15 years 11 months ago
hidden nest has been scratched from todays 1st race but is due to run on sunday at clairwood in race 2..the acceptances for clairwood were done yesterday morning and hidden nest was originally taken out of sundays race however the field was small and i know that the operators then phone the trainers and ask them to reconsider accepting..i would like to know firstly the reason for the horse being scratched from todays race and secondly will it take its place on sunday.

Sorry for delayed reply Pirates it was from my side, been in meetings
Thanks again to Vee for prompt reply;
Scratched - reason - Not Striding Out freely N/F - by Vet certificate, Dr Abbott,12 day suspension imposed Rule 53.5 .Could re-instate on a Vet report and the decision rests solely with NHA Vet Dr Gatley.
Thanks,

i see hidden nest is 8 to 10 to win on sunday,,considering he was found not striding out freely near fore between tuesday midday and 8.30 wed morning and scratched from wednesdays race is this price not a bit short..either the bookies dont buy this story or they are waiting for the horse to be scratched and A LOVELY 50 PERCENT deduction can be enforced..you would think betting would be suspended on this race..i await the outcome of this story

Late reply due to me being on the road, Vee replied immediately
thanks again, Vee
Dave i can confirm that Hidden Nest has been re-instated - definite runner.I have spoken to our NHA Vet Dr.Gatley and he examined the filly this morning and declared her fit to race.
As for the betting - not within my jurisdiction to comment.
Thanks,

we all know what has gone on here regarding hidden nest and a massive loophole has been found in the system..find a weaker race within the 12 days of suspension then get your own vet to scratch and then the nha vet will give you all clear to run it..remember this horse was withdrawn from sundays race when acceptances went down but because the field cut up trainers were phoned to reconsider accepting..vee you can say what you want you know as well as i do this is what occurred..
