From Jockey to Trainer To Top Hat , Fairy Tale

It seemed as if it was just the other day that Lucky the jockey got injured and had to give up riding. His passion and enthusiasm was not like his brother the well known bouzoukie player, but for racing as it was what he did all his life. His father in law took him under his wing and the team did well before Lucky took out his own trainers license.Well our little Greek boy trainer had the Midas touch and in his short career as a trainer he picked up his first feature race with Supper Club in Natal. The likeable trainer was with Coonie Strydom and friends, and they must have done the first 'Greek Dance'without music when their horse won the feature race. However the fairy tale continues as the squad moved on and purchased 'JJ The Jet Plane'.Im not quiet sure if the horse was bought because it was a Jet Master that went for R 70 000,which is unheard of in todays circles,or if Coonie had to much brandy left in the system. The horse got purchased and im sure that when the boys sobered up,and saw how skew the legs were they would have needed another couple of doubles, nevertheless the fairy tale continues, and JJ is now competing abroad and is being heralded as one of the best sprinters in the world. The excitable syndicate have to pull themselves together and get ready for a trip to see their champ in action in their top hats and tails as the days are ticking on.All i can say is SHOT guys and the whole of S A will be cheering you on,and dont forget to bow to the Queen, then lose your top hats.

You are right Scotia but that winner was only to wet his appetite for the challenge ahead.
