UAE: De Kock makes history in Abu Dhabi
Report: UAE, Sunday
Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Championship (Listed) 1m3f
HISTORY was made in the Listed Abu Dhabi Championship, the only thoroughbred race at Sunday's final meeting of the season at Abu Dhabi, when the Mike De Kock-trained Mr Brock became not only the first international winner of the 1m3f contest, but also the first South African-trained winner in the UAE's capital.

Kevin Shea always looked supremely confident and with runner-up Yahrab swinging wide on the turn, Shea was able to go inside that rival and lead a furlong out.
He said: "This horse needed his first carnival runs and was alwaystravelling like the winner tonight. It is my first visit here and only ride, so I have to say it is a lucky track!"
A champion in Mauritius, where they race right-handed, Mr Brock clearly appreciated the switch to right-handed Abu Dhabi after three runs at left-handed Nad Al Sheba - including one on dirt.
