I knew the horse well and saw him run. Not just stayer's action or round action.
Big ugly action.
We had a horse kind of like him named Skip Away. He was the best older horse here in the U. S. for a couple of years.
He has managed only modest success at stud.
He did not have a fashionable pedigree and he did not get good mares.
But when we are breeding horses based on selectivity, most breeders tend to shy away from horses with horrendously bad action.
We are, after all, engaged in an athletic endeavour.
