I'm a true JJ fan but I would love to see that race rerun in good conditions. Will be hard to beat I think

By the time JJ met MFlight he already had problems(beaten by 8yo O Caesour in the CFlying !!!)

At his peak MF would be hard to beat over 1000m.
But at 1200m JJ would have his measure
A Match race over 1100 would have been fun !!!

The race that broke MF's heart was his first defeat(to Kildonan in the Golden Horseshoe of 2007 under 60kg).
Imo he's never been quite the same horse since then

I though JJ beat MF over 1000m - no?

If he was gonna do JJ that was the race - instead it fully proved that JJ IS the beat sprinter bar none in SA and imho unbeatable over 1200 - 1400m anywhere!

Coincidentally we both used the phrase 'at his peak'.

Ahh, the old "at his peak" chesnut.

All you can do is beat those around ya - when they're around ya - no?

Anyhoo, I agree 1000m is prob. too sharp for JJ against an out and gone true 1000m sprinter - hence my 1200 - 1400m remark.

Can't wait for his next race - LUCKY -lol!

no fast tracks in dubai.remember how hard it is to win that race at scotsville ,especially being a 3 year old carrying 60 kg,

Mythical flight ran in the hong kong sprint ( in December 08) and gave plenty of cheek faded out the last 200 i think he showed some signs of his best on that day i hate comparing horses a bit like the beauty pageant in the sahara there are no winners. Not sure what the plans are now perhaps europe?
