Box For Rent on July Day!!!!

Hi guys

I am a part owner of a box at Greyville race course and due to most of the other stake holders not able to make it this year - we have decided to rent the box out for the day.

The box is situated right on the finish line in the Northwing Suite (probably the best view on course as it is situated right along side the photo finish camera). It can hold 30 people, with tote facilities etc right outside the door

Thanks for your posts - while i understand that the 80k does sound a bit steep, I have done a bit of research of prices elsewhere for the day and quite frankly when i hear some people spend R2500 PP to spend the day on the inside of the track (in a tent) with no view of the race course, you cant really argue that spending a bit more - buys you the best seat on the course in a fully furnished box. It is safe to say that no one will have a better view of the entire straight and most importantly the finish line, unless you are a photo finish camera!!!!

if its a suite its past the line and you see the horses running towards you head on..the boxes which are smaller in size you see the horses running past you ..these boxes cost about 13000 to 15000 a year to rent .got no idea how much the suites cost ..will try find out

Pull it if you like - the only reason we're letting the box is because most of us are going to be overseas at the beggining of july!!! So what's the point in just leaving the box empty for the day??? Yes - it would be nice to see a return on our investment - if the plan falls through, then the price will have to come down!!! If i dont get the asking price ill be the first one to post up an apology - you have my word!!!

Pirates - before you go posting your opinion where you think you know the facts - make sure you actually have an idea of what you're talking about, the box is on the 3rd floor nearest the commentary box - if you can find anywhere on course for the public that has a better view you can have it for free!!!

Hukky why don't you ask ABC or Freeracer if you can auction your box on their site (for a commission of course) and let the market decide what its worth.
