Robbie Hill, Devin Ashby suspended

NHA PRESS RELEASE:


1. Jockey Robbie Hill Suspended

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Jockey Robbie Hill was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that, whilst riding THUNDERING LADY he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners at approximately the 1200m mark in Race 5 at the Greyville Racecourse on 13 December 2008.

Mr Hill signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 25 December to 31 December 2008, both days inclusive.

2. Apprentice Jockey Devin Ashby Suspended

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Apprentice Jockey Devin Ashby was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that, whilst riding MY PRECIOUS ONE he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CABERNET AL at approximately the 100m mark in Race 5 at the Kenilworth Racecourse on 12 December 2008.

Mr Ashby signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 17 December to 23 December 2008, both days inclusive.
