Vaal Meeting (14 April 2026) Postponed to Tuesday, 21 April 2026

Following the completion of gallops, a decision has been made to postpone today’s Vaal meeting (14 April 2026) to Tuesday, 21 April 2026.

This decision was taken due to both tracks being inconsistent and unsafe, coupled with further rainfall predicted throughout the day.

So, now rhere are two days a year when there is no ravcing - Xmas and the first day of the dales

If this happened 15-20 years ago there would be riots from the trainers and owners and punters

Racing has never been poorer in South Africa

Jockey scandals and Jockey standards,  empty races and some of the most unbelievable results 

Then there are tracks that can't race with pens at 27
