Good morning, Clan.

I was watching Sky News, with King Charles marking the anniversary of WW2, and it made me wonder — did the world really listen?

As humans, we seem to forget just how cruel and brutal wars are, and the enormous sacrifice made by ordinary men and women, whose families bear the cost for generations.

On the sporting front this weekend:

🏉 Rugby – The Boks should be brilliant as always, but I must say I was impressed by the Aussies against the Lions 🦁.

⏰ UFC – Set your alarm for Sunday morning to watch Dricus in action.

🏆 Racing – Congratulations to all the Equus winners; it looked like a stunning night.

PE today – Expect the Fourie/Greeff combination to continue dominating.

Kenilworth, Saturday – Sugar Mountain looks the one to beat.

Turffontein, Sunday – Champion jockey Gavin Lerena could make it a rewarding day for punters.

Next week: York – I spoke to Molly, who has a press badge for his home track.

Wednesday could see Lambourn land a four-timer in the Great Voltigeur.
We’ll also see Delcroix in the Juddmonte.
