I agree with you. This is what causes the public to disengage from top horses. He might be a champion but the lead up has been sour. I also hope that he runs and gets beaten.

I  also agree that this hush hush has destroyed the July build up.
They did the same thing in the Met.
They even accepted in the Politician, and BOOM the y took the 20/1 in the Met and rest is history at 18/10 sp.
This time I cant fathom out what their end game is at this late stage, but suffice to say that this piss poor communication has even condemned Bookies to open a no run book on the july with ridiculous odds in my opinion, because i also feel that their turnover has been dented with this Snaith fiasco.
By now my July book is well on its way to be rounded up, but this year its non existant.
This is not right and most certainly not GOOD .
For a stable of that size, their PRO is non existant.
Please Snaith stable, racing is more than keeping information this critical  away from the racing public and for your own personal gains.

This was the stable comment 1 week before Captains Ransom won the Mercury Sprint; sounds familiar?

⭐Captain’s Ransom: “I would put her down almost as a doubtful starter in a way, because obviously I’m a little bit nervous of Greyville and some of the experiences she’s had there. I really want to see this week how things go and make my call towards the end of the week“, Justin Snaith.

You know Press, at least this was a comment and a little reason why the trepidation to run Captains Ransom, hogwash or not.
the July debacle is a little different.
They even allowed Richard to confirm Legend of Arthur.(not sure if this was another lurk to throw us of the scent, but how else can you inteperate it.
They hinted that its the Daily News then the Champions Cup on gold Cup day and then to the Paddocks, also saying the July is a hard race and not worth the risk for a valuable sire.
and i accept that things change and their 2nd , 3rd , 4th and perhaps even 5th bow to their string have all dissapointed , and without 8 0n 18 they may not even have had a runner.
But that time to make the final call is long gone by, and by keeping this knowledge of their plans on the horse is plain selfish.

They interviewed Snaith after he won a race this week and he said they will make a decision which is in the best interest of the horse and the punters.
Punters?Ya right...he really does take the racing public for mugs.
