So Far i have the following

Race 1 Whispering Death. Fantastic name for a horse. Marwing strong hand.
Race 2 Elegantrix to make amends
Race 3 Esteemed cruised in.
Race 4 Flight of a Condor
Race 5 Press on Regardless
Race 6 ?????
Race 7 William Robertson. Amazing horse
Race 8 ?????
Race 9 Wild Intent over 2450 my pick. Immediate Edge risks getting a big MR smack before July if runs close to the top two,
Race 10 Party Punch is my Ruffie
Race 11 Main Defender. Big test at the weights
Race 12 Poets warrior should bounce back from cape disappointment.

Also fancy R8, Wild Intent, to reverse the placings with Immediate Edge with the 3.0kg swing for a short head beating. Whilst they think a lot of Immediate Edge, Saturday will be the first time he carries level weight.

If Wild Intent stays the extra 450m, he wins the race. The current price of 33/10 is generous, don't believe he will start that price.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Interestingly i started doing this card this morning and im now by Race 7...

just a Question...where is the better running in a Sprint? Outside rail?

Also...has there been any track bias lately(i know it differs meeting from meeting)

A little feedback would be very helpful thanks. Im just too busy with HK Racing(actually too bloofy lazy) to check race results for the last month or so. So plz...any insights on the above TIA

Race (2)

Golden Palm (13/2), not often a Gqeberha trainer raids Johannesburg. Would imagine there is a huge cost involved especially transporting just one horse. We always talk about the different rates of improvement juveniles make, well this individual improved 7.85 lengths in two starts. Greeff raided the Cape on Met day with the filly, Direct Hit, took on the colts and beat them. Think they’d have a good line with Golden Palm. Don’t think they travelling for second or lower placed cheque. On projected times and if the altitude does not affect the horse, make her the one to beat.

Defnitely the outside rail for sprints yes thanks. Just watched all the races of the 1st and 8th and the outside rail holds an ckear advantage in sprints....

All prices quoted were at time of doing "homework" and from WSB site, there may well be changes to what i quoted.

Race (1)

Whisphering Death (1/3), on exposed form must be the one to beat, will appreciate the extra.

Race (3)

Esteemed (16/10), watch the rerun of the debut and it is obvious this is a very forward sort. Don’t see Pegasus carded to run in the race, so I’ll row in with Esteemed.

Race (4)

One Party (14/1), this race looks like a minefield, betting 4/1 the field says a lot. One Party has a 2.5kg swing at the weights with Quasikat (9/2) and enjoys a 1.0kg swing with Blizzard Snow (4/1). Draw a line through One Party’s last run, clearly something amiss.

Race (5)

Sea Shanty (14/1), another very difficult race, 3 year old filly (Palace Dancer – 4/1) concedes weight to all but two horses in the race and does not receive the sex allowance. Admittedly Sea Shanty is taking on stronger, but none in this field look to be heading to Hollywood. Hoping for a strong pace to negate the draw, off this weight she could run them down.

Race (6)

The pace will determine the outcome of this race with only seven runners. Not keen on anything to have an on the head punt.

Race (7)

William Robertson (18/10), on ratings, the one they all have to beat.

Race (8)

For me, not too many here can lay claims to winning the race. Fire Attack is starting to ease in the market (2/1 out to 22/10). They admitted he didn’t have an ideal preparation going into the SA Classic, 4 weeks on probably strip a lot fitter. Other than Royal Victory, winner of the race last year, and who has won twice from 3 runs over the distance, the others form over the distance is iffy at best. The widest draw does help but I think Fire Attack will appreciate the extra and is crying out for the ground.

Race (9)

Immediate Edge comes into the race unbeaten and held in high regard. At the weight turn-around, I make Wild Intent (7/2), the one they all have to beat. Houdalakis is a smart trainer, don’t believe he would have entered Wild Intent if he didn’t believe he would stay the extra, considering the horse is drawn 9.

Race (10)

Fiery Pegasus (4/10), looked like she was dropped into the race last time, taking on some of the same rivals. The rest have their work cut out.

Race (11)

If we use Texas Red as the line horse, then Main Defender (14/10) is shoo-in.

Race (12)

Twenty Drachmas (8/1) should go close here.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
