Quid Pro Quo at evens 😉

Quid Pro Quo at Evens 🙏
Is it Quid Pro Quo from the bookies this weekend?
By definition, it's a fair exchange—read below. We give you money for the favourite in the Guineas, and you give us even money 💰.Then we all have a good weekend 😌 ☺️.
Let’s talk about other reasonable exchanges over the weekend:
Port Elizabeth (PE)
As always, Richard has a few good ones, with Ono No Komachi looking the best.
El Romiachi runs again—he’d prefer the Polytrack but will always give his best.
We also have an impossible-looking card from Hollywoodbets Greyville this evening.
Saturday
A great card from Turffontein, where the Pick 6 is worth a punt.
QPQ banker, and Melech each way looks a better option than a win on Main Defender.
Turffontein has to share the spotlight with a double-header at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth—also a decent card.
UK Racing – The Dublin Festival at Leopardstown
Willie Mullins should continue his dominance.
Saturday Selections:
Football
Arsenal vs Man City—the big one!
Six Nations Rugby
The Six Nations is back! France, Scotland, and Ireland should all win, making for some great rugby 🏉 to watch.
A Personal Quid Pro Quo – Home Affairs
Home Affairs has always been a dreaded task when it comes to keeping documents up to date.
Ahead of our trip to Scotland, we needed to renew our passports and other documents. We were assured this would be a simple process, thanks to infrastructure improvements at Home Affairs. So, we duly booked an appointment at the Menlyn branch—and, to our surprise, the experience was quite impressive 👍.
A big change from our previous visits! My first encounter with Home Affairs was 50 years ago, as an immigrant under the previous government, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience.
For context, in a previous life, I was the Works Director of the biggest privately owned military supplier of communication equipment to what was once a first-class defence force. We had joint ventures with leading forces across the world, and I felt I had contributed positively to South Africa. Trust me, the SADF was not the Dad’s Army we see today.
So, back to our Home Affairs mission..
To our shock, despite being citizens for 50 years, we were told we didn’t qualify for a Smart ID card as we were not born in South Africa. Instead, we were directed to apply for a green ID book—contrary to the department’s supposed goals.
The Menlyn branch couldn’t process this, so we were sent to Centurion, where things took a drastic turn.
The difference between Menlyn and Centurion Home Affairs is stark. From almost hostile staff to two hours waiting in blistering heat, it was absolute chaos. We bit our tongues, ignored the awful attitudes, and pushed through.
To top it off, we’ve now been told that the temporary green ID card issued to Mrs S is only valid for two months—and the only place to acquire a permanent one? Cullinan. Wonder what kind of treatment we’ll get there... watch this space.
Oh, and eight years ago, we were told the Smart ID system was "a work in progress" and would be rolled out soon. Still waiting... 😢
I fully understand that immigration is a major concern, but after 50 years as a citizen, surely a little Quid Pro Quo could have been considered?
Good Punting! 👍

Just a follow up
We went to Cullinan it's a bit of a drive 🚗
arrived at 8 and very few people there.
It is a real shit house and again staff not friendly.
The windows are not tinted but black and you have to stoop your head to see who is behind counter
However 45 mins paid and out
Don't do sms at this brach just come back 5 weeks and will be ready ?
Fingers crossed 🤞
