We're safely back home from our trip to Hillcrest in KZN, and all went well. We're already looking forward to our next trip over the festive season.
The clubhouse at Cotswold Estate remains first class 👌, and we also discovered a superb Italian restaurant, San Giuseppe. It’s currently not licensed, which added a unique charm to the experience 😉
It was sad to see that Tina's is currently closed, as a complex for citizens over 50 is being built.

The riots and stabbing in the UK 🇬🇧 are shocking.
The idea that the attackers have mental problems is unacceptable—they should be treated like rabid dogs and put to sleep, without medical help.
The Middle East continues to be totally out of hand 😡🤬

Horse Racing
The NHRA has been busy with trainers' fines to try and keep the game clean and fair.
On another note, Rachel's superb performance in the Shergar Cup has prompted a discussion about her allowance. There's a possibility that all male jockeys will now receive the 1.5 kg allowance to level the playing field when her current allowance is removed 😅
As we wait for the Cape to send us some rain up North, we're still in a bit of a lull with local racing before the Summer Cup. Not sure if we have any speculation or ante-post markets available 🤔
Regarding my headline post:
My song is "Perfect 10" by The Beautiful South—a rather clever number with a catchy rhythm.
The band is from Hull, on the East coast of Yorkshire, and City of Troy runs in the Juddmonte International at York next week on the 21st of August. O'Brien has made no secret that City of Troy is a "Perfect 10," and we look forward to watching his star run.
We also have the Yorkshire Oaks and the Nunthorpe Stakes at the Ebor meeting.

Thursday, 22nd August: The Yorkshire Oaks, where Bluestocking is the one to beat.
Friday: The Nunthorpe, where Big Evs should be a good price despite the weight disadvantage.

Incidentally, our good friend Molly, who has been in good form recently, will miss the meeting in his hometown for the first time in 22 years, but we can follow his suggestions on the 4Racing link on our UK thread.

The St Leger on 14th September should go to O'Brien, but which horse? Grosvenor Square is a massive price to beat the fancied runners.
The Arc is on 6th October—Look At Vega tops the boards, and we might see City of Troy (doubtful), but Delius is worth a big price 🤔
The Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, 5th November, could be won by a raider. Crystal Black and Tower of London are worth a punt at around 20/1.
