I think the first question that punters should consider is 'which horse will be scratched as a result of elevated TCO2 levels' - as well as a minor consideration (not sure about the weather in Durban) on whether it is possible that racing on the Turf might be switched to the Poly during the meeting.

On a different subject, racing today is not really capturing my imagination - yes we have the Woolavington 2000 (degraded imo by allowing older females to contest this) and the Daily News (could be interesting, but on all evidence should be a foregone Green conclusion and in that case could result in connections re-think their participation in the upcoming July - unless the pace complicates things); then we have the Lonsdale, that imo might turn out very competitive and should be interesting - but for the rest ...... 

......most bigger yards use prime feed additives.....and this elevated CO2 debacle may cause them to ease off thinking that they could be a possible cause....problem with changing or leaving out these additives takes an edge off and can cause lower performance or even a total reversal of form.....

2 out of race 1 already for elevated TCO2 levels . 

Numbers 4 & 7 scratched..
