Zoombomber...why do they persist over a distance that looks way more than any siblings have attempted?

his mr has dropped nicely -  lets see when they try to slip him into a 1200/1400m

Perhaps I should ask, what would their aim/purpose be by running a horse over an apparently unsuited distance. Trying to build stamina, trying to get the horse to change its' pace?

probably just keeping him active - years gone by trainers would do this to pull off a coup- he's in a 1600m next week!!! with a claimer up

De kock stable has a decent record when putting maidens against winners so I will be with Officer in Command Race 6 @ 7/1 as my best bet
