Its rating will not matter as Gimme A Nother will run in the Classics and WFA races. The July will be the only time its merit rating will come into play if it decides to run there and most it can carry is 56kgs.
Last week at Kempton, Rebels Romance, a multiple Group 1 winner and Breeders Cup winner won. Interestingly the second placed horse, Elegant Man, was having its second run after winning its debut. Rebels Romance was rated 120 and nearly every other runner over 105. It was running on nicely. The trainer will not complain about its rating when assigned because based on this run it's not a handicapper. Elegant Man is by Arrogate and definitely worth following.
In South Africa if you put a runner in a feature and it runs a cracker, the trainers complain about its rating. They should know their horses capabilities.
