RIPPLING RING could make his seasonal re-appearance in what would be only his third run on British shores this Saturday, in the intercasino.co.uk Handicap Hurdle at Aintree.
The South African import hacked up on his debut for Paul Nicholls, winning by six lengths at Doncaster before coping with a big jump in class to run a respectable fifth place in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Owner Andy Stewart was confident that the five-year-old could go well at the Merseyside course, he said:
"We quite like Rippling Ring. The poor old horse came over from sunnier climes in South Africa and couldn't quite work out what the temperature was though.
"He won very nicely at Doncaster and then ran an incredible race in the Supreme Novices' behind Captain Cee Bee and he wasn't far behind Snap Tie who beat Katchit on Sunday.
"So off a mark of 136, we think he'll run a very big race at the weekend."
