WORLD POOL MOMENT OF THE DAY

World Pool, the globe’s largest commingled horse racing pools created and powered by the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), was recently announced as the title sponsor of the country’s premier race for stayers, which is now known as the World Pool Gold Cup, and headlines a 10-feature race card at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday 30th July, including four Grade 1 races. South African punters will be able to participate in World Pool for races 2-10.

The World Pool Moment of the Day is an initiative introduced to all 25 World Pool events in 2023, which will land the selected winning groom on the day a massive R100 000 in prize money. The 25 winners will then be eligible to win the World Pool Moment of the Year Award which includes a VIP trip for four to Hong Kong for either the Hong Kong Derby or 2024 FWD Champions Day. At the World Pool Gold Cup race meeting on Sunday, horses in races 2-10 will be eligible for the World Pool Moment of the Day.

The World Pool Moment of the Day will be announced after the running of the 10th Race and a presentation will be made to the wining groom at the annual KZN Racing Awards on 18 August.
