Turfontein 1200m Races???

Does anyone know why there are very few 1200m maiden races after this weekends?

I understand the next being toward the end of November???

I would have thought there would be plenty of 1200m as 1) sprinters obviously need them and 2) even milers can use as a 'step' toward extra distance.

As a matter of interest, who actually provide the 'race schedules' - does it include the local trainers: Gary, Mac, Uncle George?

Any thoughts guys. . .
