A very difficult card 😕

I don't know why we ever have a double header of local racing on a day when there's a literal feast of UK and Irish racing.

Thor, there was only supposed to be the Kzn meeting today but then the meeting was abandoned last weekend in Cape Town and they needed these races to be run so this meeting was added in today to accommodate the Cape horses that needed to run.

Maybe for those of us that do not follow and are not really interested in the feast of UK and Irish racing - but I agree that the Cape meeting on its own would have sufficed :dry:

Frodo I can appreciate enjoying local racing as much as the next guy. That doesn't mean I should turn a blind eye to quality racing overseas. Now the only UK meeting the tote is covering is Bath, and I would've loved to have a PA on all the UK venues, even if 240 wasn't covering it, but alas, we are held back by the power, or lack thereof, of the tote thinking a double header local means not covering the UK venues fully.

I catch more PA's and Jackpots on the UK racing just by playing off the TAB sheets. I study our local racing for hours sometimes and somehow always end up on the losing side. Maybe i should just play locally as i do the UK racing...off the TAB sheet andleave all the hard graft :whistle:

But seriously, I'm left bemused many times when there's 3 quality venues in the UK and they pick the "weakest" one to have a PA and nothing on the other 2....go figure!!!

Thor - there is quality racing from the Curragh, Ireland. (Four pattern races).

I agree with you. When did I say otherwise? Pity the tote is not covering.
