wow 8 whole entries for a rare Grade 1 Fillies race.
Owners must be super impressed by their trainers foresight and planning.

Are WC trainers asked not to support Champion5hips Season?

Where are all the big owner's entries from KZN and WC?

Look what happened when Candice raided on Saturday... Her dad often raided this season as well

Pathetic. There are no longer Gauteng racing seasons. There are no longer true Gr1’s in Gauteng. The goose who lays the golden eggs is about to die from old age.

Maybe the three racing centers need to re-visit the programming for the 3 year olds. "Bring them" slightly forward date wise, then trainers may consider raiding as their charges will have sufficient recovery time to compete in the next upcoming Feature race province. The three year olds who compete on Champions Day, end of the month, have insufficient recovery time to run in say the KZN Guineas, which i think is a week or two later. This way we may have the best competing against each other.

Just a thought.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

They have two seasons. The first season is October ending in December with the Summer Cup. The second season is from the Gauteng Guineas in February and ending with the Champions Challenge in April.

Back in my schooling days, the early season had the Germiston November Handicap but before that was the OK Gold Bowl. The OK Gold Bowl was really big back then.

The late season had the Administrators Cup. There was an air of silence when Cardinal Fury won at any odds and Empress Club ran off the board at restrictive odds. I think it was the same day that beautiful lady bared her bosom on national TV.

Those glory days are long gone.

To hell with the Cape season. Reschedule the two Joburg seasons into one and schedule it so it finishes much earlier for the Joburg guns to get ready for KZN.
