Local Tipsters
2 years 3 months ago
I think it would be interesting to hear which tipsters punters find to be most accurate. I for one think that Darryl Maree is easily the best online tipster. He kinda reads between the lines, whereas others' form-studying is more by-the-book. If any of you have been on the website bettingmyway will find far more insightful information than is readily available ( although info is not regularly provided). Most trainers do not usually provide much helpful stuff regarding their horses chances. Alan Greeff mouths the usual ' working well at home and tries an extra furlong' while Gavin Smith tries harder to point punters in the right direction. Gavin Venter is very forthright in his comments which are usually very helpful. I find that Glen Kotzen and Zietsman tend to be over- bullish which isn't really helpful either. Others are too conservative, a la Brett Crawford and Sean Tarry. All that having been said, I'm sure everyone appreciates GENUINE information ( yes, some people have intentionally misled the public ! )...just interested to know what people think...

......tipping horses is merely an opinion.....and as the old saying goes opinions are like @rseholes as everyone has one
.....nearly all so called tipsters never really give up everything they know or hear anyway but throw enough to joe public so that they can earn a few bob to get stuck into the real graft... ..from time to time even I throw out a bone by thanking some okes here that have tipped something worth attention or are on my wavelength on what I like....case in point Jimmy Don this weekend and got a shout against a horse that I labeled from day one.....landed up paying much bigger places but sure that the connections and other very smart tipsters got stuck into the exotics too .....

Tipsters are the only “ financial” profession who do not need to be registered with the FSCA.

agree - Darryl is best - listen to his comments
not interested in what trainers and jockeys think
the other tipsters somehow always tip horses that are fav. - something I haven't had a bet on for nearly 2 decades

If you a frequent winner, how is theses tipsters getting on? If they playing exotics directly on the Tote with their followers the dividend will come down significantly. Play the Open bet and you win frequently, you will be limited.
If you playing fixed odds, sooner or later you will be limited if you win often.
Mind you, I see on social media of tipsters who charge a fee boasting of their winnings.
I am not a big player but have been limited by the majority of bookmakers.

.....Darryl is one of the smartest okes in the game.....he knows our racing very very well and not a really a form analyst but is absorbing everything he sees and hears because he is an avid and interested racing enthusiast....but I feel only gives up a piece of a/the puzzle when he tips ....

I am also a big Darrly fan.
Not an easy game but enjoy his advanced knowledge but race by race from the track live would be special 😉

I think James Goodman is very good. So many times he is strong on a horse that’s 10/1 and higher, and they win. So many inclusions of longer price horses that are in the shakeup. Aswell as he finds the favorites who are no value and beatable. Old school, doesn’t expect a standing ovation like the others when they find a 6/10 winner.
