Turffontein has received 58mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours and 179mm of rainfall in the last 7 days.

The Vaal has received 4mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours and 104mm in the last 7 days.

The current Pen reading on the Turf Standside track is sitting at 28.

The Turf Inside track is currently waterlogged.

The current Pen reading at the Vaal is averaging 26.

The forecast shows further rain through the evening and any further rain would put tomorrow’s race meeting in jeopardy.

Gallops have been scheduled for both venues at around 7-7:30am , all dependant on the rainfall through the evening, in order to give this meeting the best chance to go ahead.

The chiefs are partying hard in Southeastern Aus and the indians have decided to take the day off in the South of Jhb.

Today will be one of 4Q's more profitable days at the office but to no avail given the massive year-to-date losses that they have incurred which makes Gold Circle's R25m loss for the 6-months to Jan 2023 look like petty cash.

Wide-spread showers still expected for Thursday and Friday - so Saturday probably also in doubt

Think we will be ok for Saturday, 4Q can ill afford to drop 4 meetings in a row.

Maybe move to outside track or the Vaal.
