BIG RACING WEEKEND.

Good morning all and hope you are geared up for a busy racing weekend.

I am sorry about my premature Cheltenham post, I guess the auld brain was just getting over excited.

However the weekend racing from Leopardstown should have an impact on the festival.

Leopardstown Saturday

LOSSIEMOUTH goes for 4 in a row for the Mullins machine. She is currently 16/10 fav for the Triumph Hurdle on Gold Cup day.
APPRECIATE IT has to beat the Mullins stable mate Dysart Dynamo and also Cheltenham contenders.
GALOPIN DES CHAMPS can with the GOLD CUP double and is sure to be impressive. Maybe take the 2/1 today ? Also with Mullins.

Leopardstown Sunday

BLUE LORD for Mullins will win the Dublin Chase.
The Irish Champion Hurdle is certainly the race of the weekend where Mullins has STATE MAN and VAUBAN to take on the champ HONEYSUCKLE.
This should determine if Constitution Hill will have any opposition at Cheltenham.
Let's not forget that HONEYSUCKLE has won 16 from 17 starts and if she wins the Irish Champion Hurdle for a 4th time the Irish fans will go crazy . She is currently 12/1 for the big one with State Man 7/1 and the Hill no better than 9/20. GO HONEY GO.

A full Cheltenham update will follow next week.

Back down to earth we have Fairview and HUMBLE TUNE will hopefully hold his form and is worth an ew at 10/1.
Zietsman has a few runners and hopefully his good run can continue.

Meydan today will see WITH THE MOONLIGHT (Buick) and ALGIERS the stars on show

Big racing back at the Big T and GIMME A SHOT and ANFIELDS ROCKET can run well in the Guineas.

The six nations rugby also back this weekend.
Plus spare a thought for Spurs who could soon be without flood lights due to load shedding and have pot holes on the pitch via the new joint venture 🤧

Good Punting 👍

you can get 13/1 Gimme A Shot to win the Tiara, if you think she will hose up on Saturday it could be a decent price

OK just an update after day one (Friday)

All I can say is well done to Ziets as he had a fantastic day and Humble Tune was rather disappointing but we might try him over a bit more ground next time.

Meydan where With the Moonlight arrived but ALGIERS was spectacular considering it ran wide for most of the race and still managed to fly at the finish.
Also keep an eye out for Al Nayyir.

As mentioned it will be hard to beat LOSSIEMOUTH in Ireland but the Hollywood guys have Gust of Wind in same race and can hope for a place after a win first time out.

The double with GALOPIN DES CHAMPS won't be great odds but a profit is a profit.

Good Punting 👍

Weekend summary

Scotland beat England and over the moon with Jock Van Der Merwe 👌
Ireland will probably win the six nations but Scotland will go close 🤞

My team HEARTS scored a Pele type goal from their own half.
Some shocks in the EPL

The big T was very difficult but well done to Joey Soma, Rachael, Striker and WSB .

As far as Leopardstown a few shocks with hotties getting beat but well done to Hollywood and they now have a realistic chance of winning the Supreme Novice with II Etait Temps at around 6/1 as Facile Vega has gone from 5/6 to 5/1 the new favourite is Marine Nationale at 4/1.

The Champion Hurdle in Ireland where Honeysuckle tried her best but State Man is the real deal and has gone from 7/1 to 7/2 but the bookies are still scared of the Hill and have kept the star at 9/20.
Honeysuckle will probably go for the Mares race and is around 7/2.
I still have no doubt that GALOPIN DES CHAMPS will win the Gold Cup and 2/1 is still a decent price.
