........no problem here.....better for him to tuck in and run at them from off the pace....said before this horse has the genetics to get a trip and the pace should be on if Pomp and Power is given his head and if not may just pull his young jock to the front.....Vaughn Marshall certainly got a raw draw deal .....and one of his may also go up to get out of a scrap that may develop at the back.....the race is in no way cut and dry as this bigger field is going to get messy so going pretty wide with a mix of floating bankers JD SW CC with some long shots for the exotics.....and should Pomp and Power be allowed his head and not try to be restrained he may just burgle a better finishing position.....

Certainly does look an interesting race.

Make it Snappy will probably make the pace.

If you don't banker JET DARK you will need plenty for the pick 6
SPARKLING WATER also looked good good on Kings Plate day .

MAJORCA a small but interesting field

CAPTAINS RANSOM a possible banker but can DESERT MIRACLE eventually come right with Soumillion in the saddle.

Can also expect a big result in the Cape Flying Championship if PRINCESS CALLA does not win again .

Another exciting race meeting not forgetting the richest race

Wind could be a big factor as well - if there is no significant headwind, I think Make it Snappy will try and run them off their feet - and could well get it right with no weight - the okes that were wide awake and took the 14s at A/P will be smiling, but I don't think there is any value in her current price

I still believe Kommet is a big runner with Jet Dark and I see value in current odds offered; Cousin Casey imo should be held by both Kommet and JD on a line through Charles Dickens, while Sparking Water for me has to find something at these weights, but could get closer to Make It Snappy over the trip.

For a roughie, I'd consider Marina - she does seem a difficult mare to keep racing at her best, but maybe if her last run is ignored - she did finish less than half a length behind Captain's Ransom in the Paddock Stakes last year - so obvious class, but not easy to predict whether she can produce her best form

Linebacker's prep is not far off where he was this time last year

Yet he started 2nd favourite and just got beat close home

This year he could be as big as 50/1

I make this a four horse race and Marina gets the vote with fillings, Sparkling Water, Golden Ducat and Make It Snappy.
