Uppington is a very scruffy town however our accommodation perfect and they probably have one of the best upmarket steak houses we had every been in.

Food and service superb RED OX a must visit on Orange River

Sociable weavers those nests. They accommodate 100+ pairs of birds. It is forecast that this summer, with global warming temps going skywards m, many of those birds will be decimated as those nests will catch fire. Heaven help us.

Another observation that the towns and villages down at the coast are very clean and people friendly .

The last part of journey totally opposite places are shit holes and filthy with rubbish everywhere.
Even the comparison of picnic sites are chalk and cheese.
Up North dustbin empty and bottles and plastic cover the ground. 😪

We home safe and sound after a wonderful trip of 4206 klms in 14 days.
We are blessed to have special friends to take us on this once in a life time experience.

Plenty photos and videos plus great memories for the retirement home 🏡
