Guys i had the privilege to travel down to P E last Friday as i had an interest in 3 runners. Nonetheless i met Zietsman at the stables as he was getting his horses ready for the days races. I was impressed at his set up and organization .He had his grooms ready and they each had a task for the days racing. What impressed me the most was how much work went into getting his string prepared for the day .Each groom was given his task eg who has a tongue tie ,blinkers, bandages ice on the joint and various. What i noticed is that he does most of the caring of his horses and that his vet bills are minimal .Then off to gallop his runners for the next meeting either a canter or a sprint and then back to the stable. Believe me his dedication is unbelievable and the passion for the game is everlasting. In the parade ring he gives his jockeys instructions and hopefully they are fulfilled. We had a winner at big odds as the jockey rode to instructions .It is fantastic when a plan comes together. The 2 of us shouted the place down but its an indescribable feeling when you have a winner of any sort .All i can say is Zietsman you a legend, so just carry on your hard work and the rewards will come you biscuit.
