Redcliffe Race 6 Payouts
2 years 10 months ago - 2 years 10 months ago
Bob, if you can get an explanation from them.
It took ages to get the final payouts for Redcliffe Race 6. More than 90 minutes. When they did the payouts are suspicious.
The quartet paid less than the trifecta and exacta. All approximates way below.
Did they close the pool in time.

Trifecta 2-7-1 7.10

Quaddie (5,6,7,
8-2-5-3 311.00
Very dodgy that local quartet dividend
3-90 compared to 82-40 on the Australian tote
50-1 ran 4th
Our quartet pool was R5200

Yeah probably forgot to close the quartet pool and the people in the know pilled on.
An explanation is definitely needed

That has to be the lowest Quartet Dividend ever in Harness Racing history with a 50/1 running 4th.
Even Oz couldn't come close with the 82 rand payout.
An Investigation should be launched and explanations forthcoming?

Just to add.
The 6th Race Quartet Pool and Trifecta Pool was the highest for the day. The pools reached even higher than this because the swingers came down drastically.
The winning Trifecta combination was paying R34 odd according to Tabonline when it closed.
When the pools do not close on time, punters rush to take Quartets as this has the biggest payouts normally. This screams inside job!!!!

TAB4RACING MEDIA RELEASE
SUBJECT: Payouts Race 6 Redcliffe 25 July
DATE: 28 July 2022
RELEASED BY: 4Racing
TAB apologises to customers for the confusion and delay surrounding payouts for Race 6 at Redcliffe in Australia on Monday, which arose from a miscommunication to host tote Tabcorp and resulted in no pools on the race being commingled.
Initial official payouts declared were Tabcorp dividends, barring the Quartet for which the Tabcorp Quinella was displayed in error. Local dividends should have been declared for Swinger, Trifecta and Quartet pools, which necessitated later changing all payouts to dividends based solely on bets taken by TAB with the exception of the Rolling Double for which the Tabcorp payout was retained.
This resulted in increased payouts for Swingers (1x2 from R3.20 to R3.90; 1x7 from R2.50 to R11.70), the Trifecta (R7.10 to R34.10), the Quartet (R3.90 to R421.30) and the Place on No 1 (R1.50 to R1.60).
All retail customers who cashed winning bets for the lesser amounts can lodge claims for the balance with TAB Customer Care or at a TAB. Accountholder balances have been automatically adjusted.

And remember the guy playing in the tote getting his R3-90 quartet dividend probably doesn't read ABC so how will he get compensated?

Every betting outlet needs to put up a flyer..... CORRECTION OF MASSIVE DISCREPANCIES IN PAYOUTS ON REDCLIFF RACE 6 DATED....... WITH THE CORRECT PAYOUTS AND A PROCEDURE /HELP DESK TO ENABLE THE "LOSERS" TO RECOVER THE MONEY LOST.
The presenters doing dividends from A to Z can also be instructed to remind patrons to lodge a claim for the missing funds.

Many thanks to @naresh...
I think a few of us do watch the tote pools and payouts for anomalies and these are evident almost every day...
I keep an eye as I take the occassional swinger or trifecta (not through the tote) and sometimes it seems like someone knew the result when looking at the prices of the horses and the eventual swinger / trifecta / quartet results...
I don't believe the communications sent by the tote to explain the anomalies...there is no more mystery Aus punter to blame...sometimes the pool says Closed, I'll screenshot the dividends and then the actual differs...I just shake my head...was it just a delay in pools updating or was the pool still open to "add" in the odd ticket? A small "take-out" every day can add up to a large amount over an extended period of time...
If the powers that be want the tote to be supported so that take-out increases and hence racing is on a better footing from a prize-money perspective, integrity of dividends is a must...until then, my few cents daily goes to a bookie...
