Race 1
Quite a competitive race on paper. Both Antigua Night and Bird In Space put in nice performances first time out. Im probably going to lean towards Antigua Night, she ran behind a very nice type last time out, Glittering Girl, she went on to run 2nd in the Allan Robertson Championship (Grade 1). I do believe Antigua Night would have improved a few lengths and should be spot on Today. Include Bird In Space and Silver Clock.
Race 2
It's Bipot time! I'm quite strong on Pinch Hit here. He was still very green last time out and unfortunately suffered interference in the closing stages of the race. His a beautiful looking horse that will keep improving and I'm sure today he will get it right. There is early money for the first timers, Spielberg and Run For Cover, maybe watch them move to post and then take it from there.
Race 3
The PA starts here! I'm going with Dawn Mission. He has been very consistent, the cheek pieces go on and I think he may get it right today from a good draw. The dangers are The Brief and Manz Knight.
Race 4
The bet we all want to catch is the Pick Six and it starts here with Race 4. I've made it a match race between Whafeef and Leopold. There was nothing in it last time out when they met at the Vaal, Leopold should get closer today but we also need to remember that Whafeef is a 3 year old that's improving with every run and he will be running on again at the finish. Please include Leopold into all bets.
Race 5
The first Jackpot begins with Race 5. I'm big on Maharanee! I do believe that she is a banker today in all bets. She is unbeaten and I was really impressed with her performance last time out. She will love the 1400m and even though she is giving the field weight, they will have to be very good to beat Maharanee.
Race 6
The start of Jackpot 2! Cracking race! Not a big field, but there is quality here. I'm going to take my chances and go with Golden Prospect, I really think his a smart horse. He went down to the start beautifully last time and he fought them off like a good horse should. Plenty dangers though, Argo Alley, Mercantour, Laguna Verde, Thunderstone and Quantum Theory all have big chances. You can make a case for many here, good race and if budget allows, try go wide.
Race 7
The Grade 3 World Sports Betting Jubilee Stakes! All the money is for Naval Guard. A very smart horse that keeps improving and impressing. Today will be his big test. We have to include Puerto Manzano, Second Base, Zillzaal and Golden Pheasant, they all good horses that deserve to win races.
Race 8
All the money is for Follow Me here. She gets her chance to win this afternoon. Follow Me has always been a nice type and it will be good to see her back to winning ways. Drawn 1, big runner. I may try and take her on today with Eternity Ring. I believe firmly that 1400m is her trip, Bling has been booked to ride, and I'm sure she will give us a big run today. Please include Bon Vivant as well.
Race 9
The lucky last! I'm going to take my chances and go with Dark Travel. Calvin Habib is really riding well, Brett Webber has been in good form and from a good draw today, she will get her chance to run well.
