Even Clyde Basel is using the phrase 'that's horse racing' now.
The motto for SA racing

Should be "that's why Racing is dying" ... I might sound bitter but what am I wasting time studying form when it seems like it means nothing -

@ Mr Hawaii, if you a fan for horses for courses , Thumbs Up, was definitely a contender, plus it ran to Big Burn. Odds on versus 12/1. Even places was okay.

but it cant explain how first and second favs were beaten out of the first three - first time Caralluma tries the distance and she beats a CD specialist out of the money

Even the supposed banker of the day can't run into the PA

Please do this for USA racing and see how bookmakers get odds totally wrong. USA except for New Jersey only offers tote betting. The bookmakers through out the world misprice horses. You will find during race time horses prices totally different. This is where you can capitalize if you know the odds are too big on certain runners before it shortens. Then you have to wait for it to win though....

amazing that they employ a person to interview racing people that does not know how to read a Computaform - I wonder if i could get a job interviewing Rap singers since I know very little about that genre

I am all for these new faces, however I think they are confusing trying to teach new punters that know nothing how racing works with hiring a presenter that knows nothing about racing.

USA racing is mostly a lottery, however one thing I really like about USA racing is if a jockey messes up in a race and costs the trailing third place a better position, even if they win by ten lengths, then they will lose the race. Keeps them honest, and could do with the same in SA with all the shit we see from the KZN appies.

I'm with you - new blood for sure but the starting point has to be a passion and understanding of the game - When I applied for my first job as a Racing reporter decades ago there was a girl that applied that was a far better writer than I was but I was given the position because I loved Racing and she had no idea how it worked... I'm sure their are kids that have a good knowledge that could be used - I don't have a problem with this guy's approach as he seems a natural behind the mic but without the source knowledge he does not have the basic grasp of the subject matter to ask the right questions

I'm watching the WSB stream(how much have they done for Racing} and for the most of the race Dido was playing without commentary - How can these people be paid a salary - Also all day you could hear the producer talking in the background and hot mics all round. WSB threaten to withdraw your sponsorship and let them bleed
