UK Today 28/09/08

Made a few rand with some nice doubles and trebles by watching how they price up as opposed to looking at form and relying a bit on memory. As per discussion with Mori a few nights back.

Selections on memory guide as follows:

ASCOT:
Race 3 Diabolical or Bahltazaars Gift
Race 4 Layer Cake

Will be shouting our Met Champ home, "Zebra Crossing", in Race 5 too. Dont know when last he ran so he wont have my money.

Musselburgh:
Race 4 Hula Balew
Race 5 Lucayan Dancer

Watch for movement with these and if there is some, it might be worth betting R5.00 (yes - five rand only) on a few doubles, trebles and quads. R5.00 bucks can pay in the correct combination.

Have a good days racing.

Morning Alcaponee, Some interesting selections you have posted. I too fancy Diabolical at Ascot. In the 4th I fancy Secrecy.
In the Lucayan Dancer race watch out for the stable companion, Fremen. My main each way bet today is going to be Young Mick in the first at Ascot. Enjoy the day.

I followed my own advise yesterday and made some in England. All horses shortening at 7/1 and 8/1. R10.00 made me over R1000 in a treble Maydan Princess x Wyatt Earp x Friscati Park. There were a few others with Blimey o Riley so I did really wel off very little investment.

What did you thnk of our sand race yesterday?

Morning Southpaw - Weather looks good for racing at Greyville today. The South coast seems OK

Stable relocated. Jeff Lloyd road him to win the J&B Met 2006. I think they tried him over jumps too in England much to my dismay. I dont believe that a champ should end his career this way. Lets be honest Jump racing does end a lot of careers

The more I look at the Ascot card, the more I am confused as there are so many "good things" running there today. Maybe Mussleburgh maybe the better option.

Zebra Crossing runs in the 6th for Neil Bruss. Is that correct?
