Does anyone know where I can have a beer without a fancy lunch at the Big T tomorrow?

You should be able to outside on the 'terrace' - however wear your mask if only to hide the smell from the rubbish dump

Apart from Matthew, on the deck, the other two barmen were pretty much ineffective being slow and lacking confidence. They were certainly impeded by being equipped with only one bank-card reader which often failed internet connectivity. Please will the franchiser ensure that more card readers are available so that queues can be managed quickly.

Although I skipped, the light food and dessert menu certainly looked good especially the chips.

The late Kelvin’s bar, The Winners’ Circle”, was closed 😢.

The Furious room was closed.

I understand why the use of the old parade ring has been restored but what I don’t understand is why the canter-pasts were not conducted for the bend races to appease even the small crowd.

There were private functions in both the Aquanaut and Bold Cherry rooms which added numbers to the small crowd. For the future, I think the numbers will not significantly increase which will present new challenges for an alternative marketing strategy. For me, grand Turffontein is just too big, in a crappy area, and the upkeep must be costing a fortune. A chic racecourse needs to be considered.

See you at the Summer Cup where Mac has an ante-post bet at 75/1.

One thing that's always a problem at racetracks is the problem trying to get a signal.

Things like the above have been posted on ABC for the 15 years we have been in operation...

Suggestions not being acted on has resulted in crowds falling from 1000's to 100's to dozen's...

At least in the Cape when they pan to the 12 people in the private boxes it looks pretty cool.
