I never said you can control the weather! What we need to do is persuade the relevant authorities to grant a postponement if one is needed.

I thought KZN raced last sunday and WC on sat??I presume that GC cant have 2 race meetings on the same day as one of them will run at a big loss...as i said i presume that is the problem.KZN racing sunday. As for Mauritius i am flying there tomorrow for a 10 day holiday and hear its bucketing down....difference there is that its a stand alone meeting and wont clash with anything so theoretically can race on any day they choose to.

I think the truth of the matter is that any race meeting that is moved from it's original carded day suffers from loses of something like between 30 to 50%, obviously depending on other factors that play a part.
Part of the racing industry's response was to agree NOT to put meetings against each other thereby suffering the inevitable loss and made a business decision not to slit each other's throats.

Spot on,mate! At least you see the overall big picture.
Think your filly has a decent chance on sun, albeit that she doesnt like the wet.Lets hope the draw doesnt affect her run too much...

You obviously didnt read the post earlier......the parade ring was completely under water yesterday and all i am saying is that doesnt matter what GC tries to do ,if the course is waterlogged then its waterlogged.Just be gratefull we are able to run on the course on sunday.Lets not mix up moving of a race meeting and whether we are able to race on an unraceable track.
