Its a good question MrH but the truth be told punters will always be punters. We just choose to take our money to more exciting options where the operators of such businesses look after their customers which makes you want to go back time and time again. Racing has lost its appeal through total disregard of their customers. This applies to both the product they serve up and the facilities which are mostly disgusting .

PUNTERS 2017? PUNTERS 2021?

With the above drastic decreases in trainers, owners, horses and jockeys over the last few years, I wonder how this has affected the employment contingent and costs on bodies like the NHRA.

21 september update

116 trainers now raced. Cason raced for 1st time this season a few days back.

5 Mega yards are already stretching away. 117 winners to date
Gareth Van Zyl and Bass Yard are slotting in just behind
Fortune yard has a had a great start to season

51 days into a 365 day season and
26 active trainers have yet to win a race. (0)
19 have only had 1 winner (19)
19 have had only 2 winners {38)
10 have had 3 winners (30)
14 have had 4 winners (56)
8 have had 5 winners (40)

with low stakes and small fields smaller owners must be bleeding.

Ok lets see how August went

We had 114 Trainers race so far. Working on 121 trainers now. Kaknis yard had some runners

Lost Forbes Smit and Paddock according to ABC. 118

Lola Crawford and Brett Warren have not raced this season so far. 116

2 more missing ?

WC 20 Trainers 24 races for August // 21 trainers as 5 sept.
PE 16 Trainer 51 races in August // 15 trainers as 5 sept
KZN 34 Trainers and 4 WC yards // 35 trainers as 5 sept
Gauteng 44 Trainers // 43 trainers as 5 sept

still 114 trainers
