Following heavy rain over the past few days Gold Circle has been forced to make an early decision regarding the race meeting scheduled for Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Saturday, 5 June.
With the Pen reading at 31 (Heavy) and with cool temperature of 16 degrees today, the chances of the track drying sufficiently is slim.
In order for stakeholders to plan accordingly, Gold Circle has a taken a decision to postpone the meeting scheduled at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Saturday, 5 June to Sunday, 6 June
New race times to be advised.

Of course the early decision is to be applauded - just wonder why (except for Cape Town) there seems to be this hesitancy to run of soft tracks - some horses excel on soft tracks.

Also I imagine many trainers and jocks scrambling to find jocks that can't be in Maritzburg and Joh'burg at the same time ....

Watch this space for a backtrack, GC have removed from social media after rumours the casino won’t let them use the Buffet on Sunday.

Now New Covid rules probably means a buffet should be the last thing on their minds … But shhhttt
